About the role

The Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide clinical leadership in evidence-based oncology nursing practice, education, consultation, and research. They will support MSK's patients with cancer diagnosis and the nursing staff who care for them, coordinate implementation of practice standards, demonstrate positive quality outcomes, promote a patient-centered environment, and disseminate MSK oncology nursing practice standards and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership in the areas of evidence-based oncology nursing practice, education, consultation, and research.
  • Support MSK's patients with cancer diagnosis and the nursing staff who care for them.
  • Cookordinate implementation of practice standards with colleagues across sites.
  • Demonstrate positive quality outcomes as it relates to nurse-sensitive indicators and patient and staff satisfaction.
  • Promote a patient-centered environment through collaboration with nursing leaders and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support and cultivate Relationship Based Care in all aspects of care delivery.
  • Disseminate MSK oncology nursing practice standards and outcomes through abstract submission, podium presentation, and evidence-based research findings.

Requirements

  • Current NY State RN license with CNS qualification required.
  • (Current CNS Students can be considered if they are 6-12 months of graduation)
  • Masters in nursing
  • National certification
  • 3+ years of related oncology experience
  • Experience in an advanced nursing role is strongly preferred
  • Self-direction and strong interpersonal skills are essential

Additional Information

  • Location: 1275 York Avenue, NYC
  • Schedule: Weekend Days, 12-hour shifts

Pay Range

$133,500.00 - $220,400.00
