Clinical Nurse - Operating Room

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care in a fast-paced perioperative environment, supporting complex surgical procedures and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, education on post-treatment management, and ensuring safety and quality compliance. Nurses will develop and implement individualized care plans, assess physical and psychosocial needs, and communicate effectively across care settings. It requires critical judgment, emotional intelligence, and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote healing environments through patient and family education on illness management and medication administration.
• Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and pursue ongoing professional development.
• Develop, document, and communicate individualized care plans with clear goals in collaboration with patients and team members.
• Assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.
• Maintain awareness of safety-sensitive responsibilities, working alertly and securely at all times.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Licensure: Current RN license.
• Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred for higher roles.
