Clinical Nurse Manager, Practice Clinical Operations
About the role
This leadership position is part of the MaineHealth Medical Group (MHMG) administration team. The role involves close collaboration with the senior director, medical directors, and all practice leaders to provide leadership to registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, medical assistants, and all non-provider clinical staff within MHMG. The position oversees multiple practices, ensuring safe and quality patient care, promoting professional growth and development, encouraging teamwork and collaboration, and maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies such as The Joint Commission and state requirements. The role also supports practice operations and management in areas of patient care, clinical competence, and financial responsibility, and acts as a liaison between hospital departments for clinical and operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to clinical staff, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and medical assistants.
- Oversee multiple practices to ensure safe and quality patient care.
- Encourage professional growth and development among clinical staff.
- Promote teamwork and collaboration within the organization.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies such as The Joint Commission and state requirements.
- Support practice operations and management in patient care, clinical competence, and financial responsibility.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (required).
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in outpatient practice or ambulatory care setting.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Working knowledge of The Joint Commission Standards and state regulations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask efficiently for self and others.
- Basic computer knowledge and experience with an electronic medical record (EMR).

Pay
The pay range for this position is $104,956.80 to $141,980.80 per year. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
