About the Role

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technologist to perform and interpret laboratory tests, develop quality control procedures, and maintain equipment according to standard protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Performing routine and specialized tests independently with accuracy
  • Analyzing quality control data and troubleshooting instruments
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Participating in performance improvement and inventory management
  • Adapting communication and procedures to patient populations
  • Maintaining confidentiality of patient information and staying current with laws and standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, laboratory science, or related field
  • Current state license (if applicable)
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technologist (e.g., ASCP, AMT, or AAB)
  • Proficiency in computer skills, effective communication, problem-solving, and good judgment

Physical & Environmental Demands

  • Heavy physical activity including lifting and standing for extended periods
  • Work in a healthcare setting with potential exposure to blood, body fluids, and hazardous materials

Additional Requirements

  • Flexibility for a varied work schedule, including holidays and weekends
  • Ability to travel between facilities and work in a patient care environment
