Clinical/Medical Laboratory Scientist

Role: Responsible for receiving, preparing, and performing laboratory tests on specimens to aid in diagnosis and treatment. Ensures quality control, calibrates and maintains laboratory equipment, and performs phlebotomy when needed. Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to safety and regulatory standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field. Must hold or obtain a Clinical Lab Scientist Generalist license or equivalent, and certification from ASCP, AMT, or AAB within 90 days of hire. No prior work experience required. Skills & Abilities: Proficiency in computer and data entry, effective communication, analytical problem-solving, good judgment, and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to patient needs and work independently in a clinical laboratory setting. Key Duties: Conduct routine and specialized tests accurately and efficiently, analyze quality control results, troubleshoot instruments, ensure compliance with regulations, participate in performance improvement initiatives, manage supplies, and support safety protocols. Performs other duties as assigned and maintains current knowledge of relevant laws and standards.
