About the role

This position manages the daily operations of the assigned department, unit, or function, ensuring alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. The role may also provide direct care to patients.

Responsibilities

• Develops specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives that support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
• Affirms staff relations, including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.
• Schedules, recruits, handles payroll, and engages students.
• Maintains regulatory compliance.
• Identifies, determines, and addresses the need for systems, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintains the quality of patient care and assesses patient and family needs, providing patient and family-centered care.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
• Maintains documentation and communication of patient condition as necessary.
