About the role
The Med/Surg Night Shift Clinical Manager at Peterson Health is responsible for supporting the Nurse Director in the safe and effective provision of care for the Medical/Surgical unit. They maintain both management and clinical nurse roles in the department and serve as director in the Nurse Director’s absence.
Responsibilities
- Maintain both management and clinical nurse roles in the department.
- Serve as director in the Nurse Director’s absence.
- Support the Nurse Director in the safe and effective provision of care for the Medical/Surgical unit.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN
- Two years of shift leader/charge nurse experience in the med/surg area or equivalent
- Five years of shift leader/charge nurse experience in med/surg preferred
Qualifications
- Leadership, organization, fiscal stewardship.
- Knowledge of critical care practices.
- Act as a mentor, coach and develop others, act as a role model.
- Attentive to details.
