Med Surg Clinical Nurse - Night Shift

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care in a Medical Surgical unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards. The nurse promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, and participates in safety, quality, and professional development activities.

Responsibilities

• Developing and communicating individualized care plans
• Assessing physical and psychosocial needs
• Respecting patient values and cultural considerations
• Provide comprehensive patient assessments and care
• Educate patients and families on post-treatment care and medication management
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory compliance activities
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred
• Current RN licensure
• Experience in Med Surg is preferred but not mandatory
