Manages the daily operations of the assigned department, unit, or function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
• Affords assistance in assessing the quality of patient care delivered.
• Ensures that the needs of patients and families are met and provides patient and family centered care.
• Manages complaints and conflicts through to resolution.
• Ensures regulatory compliance.
• Identifies, determines, and addresses the need for systems, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintains oversight of equipment usage and ensures adequate supplies.
• Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.
• Schedules, recruits, manages payroll, and engages students.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
• Maintains documentation and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

• Accredited Program: Nursing (Required)
