About the role

We provide direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care based on patient assessment, effectively delegating care, precepting students, educating patients and families, and collaborating across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Delegates patient care tasks to ancillary personnel.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and family and provides appropriate education.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, including discharge planning, referrals, and psychosocial support.

Requirements

• Accredited Program: Nursing (Required)
• ACLS American Heart E-Card (ACLS AHA ECARD)
• BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD)
• Registered Nurse Compact License (RN LICENSE COMPACT)
• Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
• One (1) year of RN work experience

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for certain departments.
• PALS required for pediatric areas.
• Newly licensed RNs have 6 months to obtain ACLS and/or PALS, and Fetal Monitoring if L&D.
• Must obtain PALS within 30 days of taking the position if coming from a non-pediatric background.
• RN Fellowship Program requires one (1) year of RN independent practice.
