Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Bacteriology

Role: Technologist in a clinical laboratory setting, responsible for specimen evaluation, performing routine and complex tests, troubleshooting instrumentation, and ensuring accurate reporting of results. Key Duties Assess specimen quality per established criteriaPerform and document testing procedures following SOPsOperate, monitor, and troubleshoot lab instrumentsMake technical decisions and resolve testing issuesPrepare and evaluate reagents and controlsReport timely and precise test resultsMaintain quality control and preventive maintenanceReplenish supplies and assist with specimen processingEnsure a safe work environment with proper PPE Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical, Biological, or related science; Microbiology MT FL licensePreferred: 3+ months clinical testing experience, ASCP or AMT certificationProficient in laboratory operations, data management, and lab information systemsStrong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and in teams, handle physical demands, and pass color blindness testingFlexible to work overtime or alternate shifts as needed
