About the Role

The Clinical Informatics Representative, under the direction of the Informatics Director, integrates clinical science with multiple information management and analytical sciences to identify, define, manage, and communicate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom in clinical practice. This role supports nurses, consumers, patients, the interprofessional healthcare team, and other stakeholders in the use of technology to enhance clinical care.

Activities include collaborating with customers and other IT team members to define problems, participating in the design, development, implementation, education, and evaluation of technology in clinical areas, and advocating for users by identifying, documenting, and escalating issues. The role requires working with individuals of other professions to maintain a climate of mutual respect and shared values, and communicating effectively with patients, families, communities, and professionals to support a team approach to health promotion and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provides operational support and rounding, with oversight, to local teams to deliver customer support, education, implement clinical changes, and coordinate with local Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to plan, deliver, and evaluate changes related to technology and data use.
• Supports mobile devices, on-site office support, and remote access.
• Supports designated applications as directed by leadership.
• Documents problems, audits, design sessions, planning, collaboration, and implementation activities (including rounds and in-services) rigorously, with oversight.
• Ensures all problems have discrete metrics of outcomes to maintain a scientific and rigorous approach.
• Maintains a culture of ethics, culturally congruent practice, and effective communication/collaboration within the team and with external partners, aligning with RWJBH standards.
• Maintains required professional development, competencies, and continuing education.
• Collaborates with Informatics Specialists and local SMEs in Quality and Regulatory, under leadership guidance, to ensure awareness and competency regarding new regulations.
• Obtains and maintains Epic certification as required by department standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Associates Degree or Bachelor of Science in a relevant field preferred.
• Epic Clinical Informatics Certification and HIMSS certifications preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a clinical setting with progressive leadership responsibilities preferred.

Schedule

This role requires regular travel between sites: Monmouth Medical Center (MMC), Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus (MMCSC), Community Medical Center (CMC), and Jersey City Medical Center (JCMC). Oceanport is the home base.

Work Environment

Inpatient acute care units and standard office environments. Involves contact with PCs, terminals, printers, and computers. Potential exposure to hazardous materials and communicable diseases.

Pay

Annual salary range: $83,156.00 - $117,458.00. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
