About the role
North Port Behavioral Health is seeking a passionate Registered Nurse to lead the Admissions Department. The ideal candidate will have experience and strong leadership skills to manage the admissions and intake processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction and implement strategic plans for the Admissions Department.
- Cultivate collaboration among department staff and external referral sources.
- Address quality management issues related to crisis triage, evaluation, intake, and admission.
- Distribute scheduled evaluations, intakes, or admissions as needed.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality improvement programs for all services.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for service delivery.
- Hire, orient, provide in-service training, and supervise department staff.
- Manage department finances, develop and meet budget goals, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff.
- Ensure the department is up-to-date on and compliant with new laws and regulations.
- Perform other functions as assigned.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Human Services Field or RN nursing license required.
- Three plus years’ experience in healthcare-related admissions preferred.
- Three years of work experience as a Director of Admissions in a Behavioral health facility preferred.
- Licenses/Designations/Certifications: Required - CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification (training available upon hire).

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
