Director of Clinical Admissions

About the role

As Director of Clinical Admissions, you will build, grow, and lead a clinical team that serves as the front door to treatment at Charlie Health. You will oversee intake and assessments for our national virtual intensive outpatient programs (IOPs), ensuring clinical integrity and compliance. You will partner closely with your counterpart and across departments to ensure clinically appropriate admissions and effective team performance.

Responsibilities

• People leadership & team development
• Oversee intake and assessments of prospective clients for national virtual IOP programming
• Lead and support the team in converting prospective clients to care, confirming clinical fit, and scheduling them into programming
• Determine appropriateness and fit for the virtual IOP level of care
• Complete monthly chart audits to ensure compliance and quality assurance
• Document client information in accordance with regulatory standards using the EMR
• Lead change management initiatives, driving the smooth rollout and adoption of new processes, workflows, and policies
• Partner across departments to ensure clinically appropriate admissions and effective team performance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of behavioral health experience
• Master’s degree in mental health or a related field
• Minimum of 2+ years in supervisory position (3+ preferred)
• Proven experience building, scaling, hiring for, and performance-managing teams
• Experience leading change management and process improvement initiatives
• Independent mental health licensure required (all disciplines welcome)
• Experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults preferred
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to energize, motivate, communicate, and build rapport at all levels within an organization
• High proficiency in navigating EMR systems, Zoom, Google Workspace, and other communication platforms
