Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of Garnet Health Medical Center Outpatient Behavioral Health/Substance Abuse Program.
  • Provide supervision to clinical staff.
  • Monitor FTEs, staff productivity, and scheduling to ensure coverage.
  • Oversee provision of treatment to patients and medical record documentation.
  • Prepare statistical reports and handle other responsibilities consistent with daily functioning of the Behavioral Health/Substance Abuse Program.
  • Monitor staff compliance with OASAS, OMH, and DNV regulatory standards.
  • Travel between Family Program, Counseling Services, Pavilion, and Garnet Health Medical Center main campus; travel within the region required for meetings, conferences, etc.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited school.
  • Minimum Experience: Three years’ experience in Chemical Dependency, with at least two years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Certification/Registration: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Master Social Worker, or Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of New York.
  • Must attend hospital crisis training program within 3 months of hire or transfer and annually thereafter.

Pay

The compensation range for this role is $93,756–$117,195 salaried. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining compensation, several factors may be considered, such as location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget, and internal equity.

Schedule

  • On-site workplace type.
  • May be subject to irregular hours, including evenings or potentially weekends, to participate in operational and community events as necessary.
