Clinical Director for Adults

Location: Mullica Hill, NJ • Full-time, in-person • Department: Adult Residential/Day Program • Salary Range: $105,000–$113,000

About the role

Join Bancroft, one of the region’s largest nonprofit human-services organizations. As Clinical Director you will oversee the assessment, development, and implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISPs) for adults in the Lakeside Adult Residential Program. You will coordinate behavioral and clinical services, mentor staff, and advocate for the individuals in our care.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, training, and guidance to staff on the development and implementation of ISPs and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Ensure timeliness of the ISP process, including IDTs and monthly program reports; maintain professional, complete documentation.
• Collaborate with the Operations Director to ensure proper staffing levels aligned with therapeutic needs, Annex A, and program descriptions.
• Monitor clinical-resource availability and recommend solutions for unmet needs.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and attend program-management meetings to promote information flow and knowledge sharing.
• Attend operation-management meetings, external conferences, family conferences, and other events to share and gather information.
• Manage the performance of direct reports: set goals, complete evaluations, provide feedback, develop improvement plans, and implement disciplinary action as needed.
• Provide 24/7 on-call and rotational support when applicable.
• Serve as the primary clinical resource for staff and an expert in person-centered planning, including assessment of life goals, strengths, and skill-acquisition opportunities.
• Act as QMRP when needed, coordinating all related activities, including management of emergency-restraint data and database entry.
• Review, coordinate, and present emergency-restraint data to the Behavior Management Committee as scheduled.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field; PhD desirable.
• BCBA certification required.
• NJ license required.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience.
• Experience in functional assessment and treatment development.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills; flexibility and adaptability.
• Basic math skills.
• Desire to work with neurologically-challenged individuals and ability to implement crisis-intervention techniques.
• Operative knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel preferred.
• Attain CPR, First Aid, Crisis Prevention and Intervention, and Medication certification within the first 90 days of employment.
• Valid driver’s license in incumbent’s legal name and current address with no provisional restrictions.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
