About the role
Provides leadership, resource management, and collaboration to ensure effective patient care delivery in the OR. Manages staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and team development, while overseeing daily operations, supplies, and equipment. Facilitates interdisciplinary communication to promote quality outcomes and smooth transitions of care.
Location: Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, IL.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate surgical teams, implement policies, and foster a positive work environment.
- Support staffing and resource planning to meet department needs.
- Hire, evaluate, and develop staff, conducting regular meetings to address practice issues.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to resolve operational and patient care challenges.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (Illinois license) and CPR/BLS certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care OR setting; leadership experience preferred, CNOR certification a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
