Clinical Clerkship Coordinator

Key Responsibilities
- Cook up monthly clinical clerkship schedules for third- and fourth-year medical students, including local and away rotations.
- Act as the first point of contact for student inquiries, schedule modifications, time-off requests, documentation, and clerkship-related needs.
- Communicate with students, clinical faculty, preceptors, hospital sites, and site coordinators about clerkship assignments, onboarding, badge issuance, and credentialing.
- Keep meticulous records in systems like Exxat, Smartsheet, VSLO, Clinician Nexus, MyClinicalExchange, Canvas, and others.
- Track evaluations, monitor progress, follow up on pending tasks, and assist with grade processing and student performance reporting.
- Engage in preceptor recruitment, onboarding, renewal processes, and preparation of accreditation-related documents.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may substitute for education.
- Strong communication, organizational, grammatical, punctuation, and professional judgment skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new databases, software systems, and educational platforms.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, adjust to changing needs, and work independently and collaboratively.
- Capable of lifting 40 lbs. and working occasional early, late, or weekend hours as needed.
