About the role

The Clinical and Outreach Services Assistant (Administrative Support Coordinator I) plays a crucial role in supporting the Student Health and Counseling Center within the Division of Student Affairs at California State University, Fullerton (Cal State Fullerton).

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex calendars, travel arrangements, procurement card reconciliations, and meeting logistics.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator for student employee/intern hiring, payroll, and scheduling.
  • Facilitate logistical support for major department events, including event setup/cleanup, gathering participant survey data, and representing TitanHEALTH programs across campus committees.
  • Handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality, exercising independent judgment, and collaborating with campus partners.
  • Support departmental committees and assist with accreditation processes.
  • Assist with general clerical operations, resolving inquiries, and providing logistical support for department events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent, with two years of experience in general office, clerical, or administrative support work.
  • Training at a vocational school or full-time college education may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Ability to use a range of office systems and technology.
  • Ability to handle multiple work unit priorities and projects.
  • Ability to apply policies and procedures independently.
  • Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform standard business math, draft correspondence, and compose reports.
  • Ability to handle interpersonal contacts effectively, including those at higher levels and sensitive in nature.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supervising a team, preferably including students, interns, or volunteers.
  • Prior experience working in healthcare, health promotion, victim services, or related areas.
  • Familiarity with cultural humility, anti-oppression, and participatory pedagogies.
  • Participation in allyship trainings or willingness to participate in on-campus ally trainings after hiring.
  • Knowledge and experience with social media and creative design programs/software.
