Clinical Administrative Coordinator
Optum NV is seeking a Clinical Administrative Coordinator to join our team in Las Vegas, NV. Optum is a clinician-led care organization that is changing the way clinicians work and live. About the role
This position follows a hybrid schedule with two in-office days per week at our office located at 2720 N Tenaya, Las Vegas, NV. The schedule may change based on business need. We offer on-the-job training conducted on-site with hours from 8:00am - 5:00pm PST, Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities
- Manage administrative intake of members
- Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and/or providers
- Process incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles
- Assist the clinical staff with setting up documents / triage cases for Clinical Coverage Review
- Handle resolution / inquiries from members and/or providers
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- 1+ years of administrative experience
- Experience with computers and Windows-based programs including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Outlook
- Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm PST with occasional overtime as needed
- Reside within commutable distance to the office at 2720 N Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, Nevada
- Ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
- All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within the healthcare industry and with healthcare insurance
- Experience working in a hospital, physician's office, or medical clinic setting
- Experience working in a call center
- Clerical or administrative support background
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes

Pay
The hourly pay for this role will range from $18 - $32 per hour based on full-time employment, depending on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
Schedule
This position is full-time, Monday - Friday, with an 8-hour shift schedule during normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm PST. Occasional overtime may be required.
