Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, delivering excellent customer service. Supports the teams in meeting state compliance goals. This is for a full-time (40 hours/week) Telecommute position in the United States. The schedule is Monday through Friday, an 8-hour shift between the hours of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. If you reside in the state of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or Rhode Island, you'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges. 10% of expected travel within Massachusetts. Primary Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer serviceManage administrative intake and data entry for clinical team of membershipWork with providers and / or the clinical team to manage request for long term and respite servicesManage notifications, processing incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census rolesReceive care coordination notification cases for non - clinical assessment / intervention and provide appropriate triageAssist the clinical staff with setting up documents / triage cases for Clinical Coverage ReviewProcess and distribute custom reports to providers and clinical staffMultitasking with multiple platforms and applicationsInbound / outbound phone calls to providers other internal departments to assist with notifications, documentation What Are The Reasons To Consider Working For UnitedHealth Group? Required Qualifications High School Diploma / GED1+ years of experience using the telephone and computer as primary instruments in workplace setting1+ years of healthcare administration experienceIntermediate level of proficiency using a computer and Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word (create correspondence and work within templates), Microsoft Excel (data entry, sort, filter, and work within tables), and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pmReside within Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New HampshireWilling and able to travel 10% within Massachusetts Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of experience working with health care insurance AND/OR medical claims, medical research or medical terminology1+ years of clerical OR 1+ years of administrative support background1+ years of experience working with Medicare and/or Medicaid ServicesAssociate or Bachelor's degreeExperience with medical terminology or medical research experienceClaims and/or healthcare insurance experience Soft Skills Ability to work independently and as a team, and maintain good judgment and accountability Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from others All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
