Clinic Coordinator/Physical Therapy Assistant - Friendswood Physical Therapy Clinic - Full Time

About the role

The Clinic Coordinator, PTA is responsible for providing day-to-day administration support, clinic operations, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate registrations including obtaining demographics information and complete benefit verification.
• Providing various methods of Physical Therapy according to patient treatment plans.
• Serving as a resource person for Physical Therapists, PT Assistants, and PT Aides.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Minimum Work Experience: 1 to 5 years of previous Business Office related experience.
• Preferred: Previous experience in Physical Therapy.

Qualifications

• Licenses/Certifications: Eligible for or licensed by Texas Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire through the American Heart Association or other pre-approved accredited certification program.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong telephone etiquette required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Professionalism and strong work ethic; ability to anticipate needs, multi-task, and follow HIPAA guidelines.
• Knowledge of principles of growth and development as it relates to different life cycles (school age, adolescent, young adult, adult, and geriatric).
• Knowledge of regulations, QA, and procedures, and quality patient care.
• Successful completion of department-specific and/or hospital-required training courses.
• Able to treat patients of all ages from pediatric to geriatric.
