Clinic Coordinator/Physical Therapist - PT Clinic
About the role
Under the supervision of the Clinic Director or Manager, the Clinic Coordinator, PT provides day-to-day administrative support and clinic operations, greets customers, and delivers the highest level of customer service. Responsibilities include timely and accurate patient registrations, obtaining demographics information, and completing benefit verification. The Clinic Coordinator, PT also provides various methods of physical therapy according to patient treatment plans and serves as a resource for PTs, PT Assistants, and PT Aides.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support and clinic operations
- Greet customers and deliver high-level customer service
- Perform timely and accurate patient registrations, including obtaining demographics information and completing benefit verification
- Provide various methods of physical therapy according to patient treatment plans
- Serve as a resource for PTs, PT Assistants, and PT Aides
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy
- Previous business office-related experience of 1 to 5 years
- Previous experience in Physical Therapy preferred
- Eligible for or licensed by Texas Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners
- Basic Life Support certification required through the American Heart Association or other pre-approved accredited certification program
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong telephone etiquette
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Professionalism and strong work ethic; ability to anticipate needs, multi-task, and follow HIPAA guidelines
- Knowledge of the principles of growth and development as it relates to different life cycles (school age, adolescent, young adult, adult, and geriatric)
- Knowledge of regulations, QA and procedures, and quality patient care
- Successful completion of department-specific and/or hospital-required training courses
- Ability to treat patients of all ages from pediatric to geriatric
