About the role
A casual Clinic Assistant (CA) supporting patient care for CDH and Delnor OBGYN. This multi-skilled role encompasses both clinical and administrative duties under the supervision of physicians and licensed nurses, serving as a key team member in the ambulatory care environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient treatments.
- Perform basic tasks, screening procedures, and specimen collection.
- Screen for and communicate changes in patient condition.
- Document patient care provided.
- Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain examination areas.
- Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, billing, and patient registration.
- Present a friendly, approachable, professional demeanor and appearance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One or more years of recent experience working as a clinic assistant in a physician office or hospital setting; or completion of a training program in a medically related field; or currently enrolled in a medically related college degree program with intent to enter the healthcare field.
- Basic Life Support Certification from an American Heart Association accredited source within 90 days of hire.
Preferred: Associate's Degree or Bachelor's degree.
