Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitate 1:1, 1:2 and small group instruction while meeting the needs of complex learners.
- All academic, behavioral and functional skill instruction
- Generalization and maintenance
- Other areas throughout a student's day such as: lunch, recess, hallway transitions, social opportunities with peers as well as transportation
- Implement and follow individualized lesson plans, Positive Behavior Support Plans and/or Individualized Crisis Behavior Management Plans.
- Collect individualized and group data across the school day.
- Support and teach students using Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS) across the school day.
- Aid in classroom setup, individual student area preparation, and material organization for specialized instruction.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Eligible for BHP Certification
