About the role
Pinnacle Family Services is a 30-year-old organization providing therapeutic foster care and behavioral health services to children and families in North Carolina and South Carolina. The role of Client Support Specialist involves delivering hands-on, community-based services in homes, schools, workplaces, and other community settings.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized community-based support services in homes, schools, workplaces, and other community settings, helping individuals and families make progress toward their treatment and recovery goals.
- Teach and reinforce coping strategies, emotional regulation techniques, interpersonal skills, independent living skills, and other practical tools that support success in daily life, education, employment, and community functioning.
- Partner with individuals and families to implement Treatment Plans and Individualized Recovery Plans (IRPs), identify personal strengths, build resilience, and proactively address barriers that may impact progress.
- Cook up care and collaborate with therapists, healthcare providers, schools, employers, probation officers, family members, and other community partners to ensure comprehensive, person-centered support.
- Connect individuals and families to community resources, housing supports, educational opportunities, employment services, healthcare providers, and other programs that promote long-term stability and well-being.
- Maintain accurate documentation, monitor service utilization and treatment plan timelines, participate in quality improvement activities, and contribute to a culture of excellence in service delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required in a Human Services field.
- Must meet qualifications as a Qualified Professional (QP) in North Carolina, with experience serving children and adolescents with a primary mental health diagnosis.
- Experience providing community-based, behavioral health, case management, or skill-building services is preferred.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently in home and community settings.
- Valid driver's license, current vehicle registration, and active vehicle insurance.
- Driving record must be in good standing and meet company requirements for community-based service delivery.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $25,000 - $35,000 annually.
Schedule
Hours are flexible and based on the needs of the clients and the community.
