Client Service Representative/Coordinator
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our team at VCA Animal Hospitals. Our mission is to prioritize your pet’s health and provide excellent service, exceeding each pet owner’s expectations.
Responsibilities
- Greeting visitors and answering telephones.
- Guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
- Scheduling and confirming appointments.
- Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
- Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
- Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
- Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care.
- Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
- Ensuring the facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.
Requirements
As the face of VCA, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice. This role requires:
- A personable yet highly professional demeanor.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- An understanding of veterinary medicine and pet care.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with scheduling software and email.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- At least 2 years of experience in a customer service or administrative role.
- Experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
