About the role
Headquartered in Burlington, Vermont, One Day In July is a rapidly growing investment firm committed to distrusting the financial industry with a focus on reducing fees and improving portfolio performance for investors. We provide investment management and fiduciary financial advice, generally focused on index funds, to clients across the United States. Our growth has been rapid, and we are expanding our administrative team to help ensure the firm can continue to meet its high standards for excellent client service while remaining in compliance with all applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
- Aid the financial advisor team with calls from both prospective and existing clients; schedule meetings and manage client meetings.
- Review materials related to new clients and accounts to ensure proper documentation and help facilitate a smooth onboarding process.
- Update client records, organize communications, and take corrective action as needed in both Charles Schwab and the company CRM.
- Cook up and manage various projects for the firm.
- Coordinate communications and workflows with Advisors and others in the firm.
- Organize a great deal of paperwork and digital files.
- This role requires you to plan, set up, and attend occasional offsite events. You must have reliable transportation and a willingness to travel, along with the ability to transport supplies to and from events.
- Have a proven record of providing superior client service, attention to detail, and documentation.
- Be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
- Possess excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrate excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- Be proactive: identify opportunities and problems and take them to the next level without being asked.
- Be able to “wear multiple hats” and quickly adapt to changing priorities.
- Focus on processes and controls with the ability to understand and assess risk.
- Possess a positive attitude, tremendous grit, and ability to prioritize.

- Share our firm's mission and investment philosophy of lowering fees and espousing the value of diversified, low-cost index funds.
- Possess a strong understanding of financial concepts and how they apply to investment management.
- Demonstrate financial acumen and a strong interest in investment management strategies.
Qualifications
- There is opportunity for someone in this role to move into a financial advisor position over time. Part of that transition process includes obtaining a Series 65 license.

$65,000 - $75,000 commensurate with experience.
