About the Role

Raymond James is seeking a dynamic Client Service Associate to join our growing team. This essential role provides high-quality, high-touch administrative support to Financial Advisors, their prospective and existing clients, and other branch staff. The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail-oriented, and creative problem solver with effective communication skills across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Handle a high volume of daily interactions, including basic inquiries and scheduling meetings with prospective and existing clients via phone, in-person, virtually, and through mailings.
  • Provide crucial support to Financial Advisors and the branch office in both independent and team-based environments.
  • Process client financial transactions, advisor expenses, and expense reports with a high level of organization and accuracy.
  • Open new client accounts and research client and security information using internal databases and technologies.
  • Ensure client paperwork and documentation are accurate and compliant with firm and industry requirements prior to submission.
  • Prepare letters, forms, and reports to service existing clients and prospect for new ones.
  • Generate business summary reports and client-specific reporting for Financial Advisor review.
  • Create and maintain records and files using Client Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Assist Financial Advisors with marketing efforts, including seminars and client-facing events.
  • Enter orders at the direction of the Financial Advisor, as needed.
  • Engage in training, cross-training, and professional development opportunities to stay current on firm and industry policies.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the company’s working structure, policies, mission, and strategies.
  • Understanding of general office practices, procedures, and methods.
  • Familiarity with investment concepts, practices, and procedures in the securities industry.
  • Awareness of financial markets, products, and industry regulations.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Client Relationship Management (CRM) software or similar contact management tools.
  • Experience with Excel, including developing spreadsheets and ongoing reporting.
  • Effective communication across multiple platforms (in-person, virtual, phone, and mail).
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and use required software for correspondence, reports, and databases.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple detailed tasks with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical skills to research account information and resolve issues.
  • Ability to identify time-sensitive items and assess competing priorities.
  • Initiative to proactively follow up on submitted items and ensure completion.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and provide a high level of customer service calmly and professionally.
  • Problem-solving skills to establish solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic mathematical skills to process account and transaction information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all organizational levels, both in person and virtually.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • One or more years of securities industry or related work experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training as approved by Human Resources.

Pay

The total compensation for this position includes base salary or wages and may include additional components such as cash or equity incentives, discretionary bonuses, or commissions.
