About the role

This entry-level residential re-entry position in social services monitors the custody, security, control, and maintenance of the facility and residents. Due to contractual obligations, applicants must identify as male for this posting.

Pay

$25.17 per hour. Dental and vision benefits are offered for all part-time and relief employees.

Schedule

This is a relief position requiring 8–16 hours per week, varying based on the center’s needs. Shifts include:

  • Monday–Friday: 8am–12pm and/or 5pm–9pm
  • Weekend: 8am–5pm as needed (with advanced notification)

Hours may be reassigned without advanced notice. In the event of a work stoppage, you must work the hours necessary to staff the center.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors Residents – Observes, documents, and ensures accountability of all residents within the facility and community by enforcing rules, responsibilities, and restrictions. Controls and documents transactions involving money, subsistence, medications, first-aid supplies, mail, visitors, accountability checks, and telephone calls.
  • Assists with Managing Program Services – Supports Counselors with resident programming, including installing electronic monitoring equipment, visiting residents in homes and workplaces, and conducting alcohol and urine surveillance testing.
  • Monitors Facility – Conducts and documents scheduled internal and external inspections to maintain resident health, safety, and accountability. Ensures physical plant safety and sanitation standards are upheld.
  • Maintains Working Knowledge and Follows Procedures – Adheres to guidelines in the Statement of Work, Physical Plant, and Operations Manuals. Demonstrates proficiency in emergency drills, life safety, facility sanitation, escapes, and unusual occurrence procedures.
  • Sanitation – Performs general housekeeping duties, including dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and emptying trash.
  • Other Duties – Additional tasks may be assigned by the Director. Note that Federal or State Contracting Authority and Executive Management reserve the right to modify operating standards, staffing requirements, and qualifications, which may affect continued employment in this role.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of paid work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals and groups in both routine and emergency situations.
