Client Development Assistant - Regional

What You'll Do
- Support the implementation of strategic marketing and business development initiatives across the Houston and Texas offices.
- Cook up and execute client events, CLE programs, sponsorships, and client appreciation activities.
- Manage the Houston office ticketing program, including vendor coordination, usage tracking, and ticket distribution to attorneys and clients.
- Aid in preparing materials and logistics for internal meetings with firm leadership, practice groups, and client development committees.
- Monitor and track client entertainment expenses, process invoices, and support budget management activities.
- Manage promotional inventory and coordinate procurement and delivery of client gifts.
- Maintain CRM data, marketing lists, and execute email campaigns through platforms such as Vuture.
- Create and update website, intranet, and biography content in coordination with communications teams.
Additional Responsibilities
- Draft, edit, and coordinate business development materials such as presentations, newsletters, and client communications, while tracking outcomes and maintaining records.
- Conduct business intelligence research and compile reports on companies, industries, and competitors in collaboration with internal teams.
- Lead preparation of submissions for office/regional rankings, awards, and other recognitions for the office, local lawyers, clients and practices.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional services marketing or business development experience, preferably within a law firm.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong client service mindset and relationship-building skills.
PREFERRED
- Experience with tools such as Vuture, Foundation, PitchPerfect, Sitecore, PitchBook, Capital IQ, Monitor Suite, or Hoover’s.
- Experience supporting events, sponsorships, or client engagement programs in a professional services environment.
Success in this role
A successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills while effectively and proactively supporting multiple concurrent initiatives. Within the first 6–12 months, you will be expected to independently manage event logistics, understand firm processes and take next steps, contribute to business development efforts, maintain accurate marketing systems and data, and build trusted relationships with attorneys, colleagues, and external partners. Success in this role is defined by reliability, responsiveness, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to anticipate needs and follow through with minimal supervision. A successful candidate will be able to deliver high-quality work while collaborating across different departments and teams to support initiatives that strengthen client engagement and advance the firm's business development goals.
Work Model
Hybrid – minimum of three days per week in-office, with flexibility for remote work as business needs allow.
Schedule
Full-time, standard business hours, with additional evening or weekend hours on an as needed basis to support events and deadlines.
Physical Requirements
Routine office environment. Must be able to sit at a computer for extended periods. Occasional lifting of files and materials up to approximately 10 lbs.
