About the role
A Client Care Specialist 2 (CCS2) for Mobile Testing Units (MTU) contributes to AHF by presenting a friendly, helpful face to members seeking HIV testing and prevention services, STI screenings, and treatment on our Mobile Unit. This role provides courteous, confidential, and professional support to members within our MTU programs, enhancing AHF’s reputation through excellence in patient care, retention, operational efficiency, and adaptability.
The CCS2 seamlessly transitions between clinical, administrative, and front office roles, fostering trust and loyalty while advocating for AHF’s top initiatives. Success in this role requires embodying AHF’s Core Values and Mission in all actions, working within a collaborative and dynamic environment where adaptability and accountability to multiple leaders are essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care by collecting medical histories, managing tests/screenings, recording vitals, and addressing health complaints.
- Facilitate patient registration, appointment management, and electronic chart creation.
- Document data accurately, including referrals and reports.
- Perform phlebotomy duties, including venipuncture and sample collection (blood and other specimens), and prepare samples for laboratory analysis.
- Work as part of a close-knit team to ensure a positive experience for clients and a productive workplace for employees.
Requirements
- Valid Phlebotomy license or Medical Assistant (MA) certificate (mandatory).
- Valid Driver’s License (mandatory).
- Proficiency in Spanish (a plus).
Schedule
Varies based on the needs of sites and events. Rotating schedule of days and nights, including weekends.
