Responsibilities
- Contribute to profit of agency by managing a book of assigned commercial lines accounts with individual account premium generally less than $1,000 in revenue and less complex.
- Provide service to commercial clients and maintain high customer retention.
- Perform detailed coverage analysis, consultation, and coverage recommendations for clients.
- Consult with clients regarding insurance program needs and proactively engage clients on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain technical proficiency with coverages and various types of insurance policies.
- Handle telephone requests and miscellaneous correspondence (e.g., mortgagee requests, certificates, additional insureds).
- Rate and quote renewal Commercial Lines risks; screen, place, and approve applications.
- Review applications, renewal requests, and endorsements for compliance with underwriting authority and guidelines.
- Prepare and authorize ID cards for auto clients when necessary.
- Initiate, screen, and prepare endorsement requests on Commercial Lines.
- Authorize cancellation requests and compute endorsement, cancellation, additional, or return premiums.
- Review company-produced policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy.
- Compute and initiate premium finance contracts as needed.
- Take claim reports and maintain claim files on handled clients.
- Prepare summaries and proposals of insurance for existing accounts.
- Prepare bonds, endorsements, and cancellations.
- Use Agency Management System, Microsoft Word, and other required software competently.
- Authorize binding of Commercial Lines coverage within granted carrier authority.
- Contact carriers and producers as needed.
- Maintain client files and make client contacts as required.
- Participate in seminars and classes for skill and knowledge development.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Maintain proficient knowledge of, and compliance with, all applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and internal controls; meet all training requirements in a timely manner.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or equivalent).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Property/Casualty License Required.
- If licensed, maintain Agent/Broker License through continuing education.
- May work toward a professional designation.
- Three years of insurance experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Ability to use menu-driven software, Word, and Excel programs.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record.

Pay
Minimum USD $23.30/Hr. Maximum USD $35.07/Hr.
Schedule
40 hours a week.
