About the role
The Clinic Clerk provides administrative support, performs clerical and customer service functions, and completes non-technical duties within the hospital setting to support efficient daily operations. Reports to: Supervisor/Manager.
Responsibilities
- Performs clerical duties including preparing and sending outgoing mail, distributing incoming mail, maintaining filing systems, entering data, and maintaining databases
- Types documents and correspondence; performs photocopying, scanning, and faxing
- Greets visitors and communicates effectively with patients and providers
- Answers, places, and directs phone calls; distributes messages appropriately
- Organizes, coordinates, and schedules meetings and appointments
- Maintains a clean and organized office environment; monitors and orders office supplies
- Handles information requests by reviewing records, answering inquiries, and responding to incoming requests
- Coordicates workflow and compiles records of office activities
- Performs basic accounting functions such as checking invoices, making deposits, and managing petty cash
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent - Required Associate's degree - Preferred
- Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education
- Minimum Work Experience: 1 year of clerical experience - Preferred
