Description of Work
This position focuses on assisting customers, reviewing complex records, and supporting driver licensing and motor vehicle operations. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties:
- Customer Assistance: Answer questions about driver licensing and motor vehicle transactions for phone and counter customers
- Record Review: Analyze driver and vehicle records to determine correct responses and required actions
- Application Processing: Examine and enter data for licensing and motor vehicle applications
- Issue Resolution: Research discrepancies, apply reference materials, and decide appropriate solutions
- Fee Waivers: Verify and document correct fee waiver codes according to guidelines
- Office Support: Train new employees, maintain organized workspace, and complete production reports
Qualifications Required
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
