Responsibilities
- Application Processing: Enter client information, clear records, and route applications to caseworkers
- Reception Support: Greet visitors and respond to needs at the front desk
- Phone Handling: Answer incoming calls and manage voicemail messages from the main line
- Mail and Imaging: Sort mail, process drop box items, and scan documentation into the system
- EBT and Records: Process benefit card requests and complete file clearance tasks
- Equipment Operation: Use various types of office equipment including computers, copy machines, and scanners
Schedule
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 1-hour lunch
- Travel and overtime as needed
- Free parking at this facility
Work Conditions
- Assigned duties are performed in a controlled office environment
- In counties with District Offices, employees may be reassigned to different work sites due to operational needs; reassignments will be made in compliance with contract language
Telework
- This position may be eligible to telework part time; specific details will be discussed during the interview process
- To telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania
- If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Bradford, PA
- The ability to telework is subject to change at any time
Pay
Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting salary of $36,831 (before taxes).
Requirements
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training
- You must meet the PA residency requirement
- Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within McKean County; if no eligible candidates who live within McKean County apply, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered
- You must be able to perform essential job functions
- A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports
- You must pass a background investigation
