About the role

As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will act as a partner and consultant to the business, serving as an initial point of contact for employees and managers on a wide range of HR activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine tasks related to the administration, execution, and tracking of human resource activities, including staffing, compensation, leave, recognition and morale, training and development, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, and manager coaching.
  • Partner with recruiting to facilitate onboarding actions.
  • Collaborate with on-site Security and corporate Employee Relations team on employee relations issues, investigations, and other shared responsibilities.
  • Monitor and track HR metrics for assigned contract.
  • Act as a liaison between employees, leaders, and corporate departments including benefits and payroll.
  • Provide proactive guidance to managers and employees on performance management (coaching, career development, counseling, and/or disciplinary actions), communications and training, employee relations issues, interpretation of employment laws, and company policies.
  • Support compliance efforts, including the communication, dissemination, and implementation of company policies, as well as federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Support program HR and HRIS activities, including validating HRIS data accuracy, org chart alignment, vacation/leave info, and other key information. Identify errors and make corrections or liaise with the appropriate leader.
  • Respond to employment-related questions from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Conduct follow-up and help close out inquiries.
  • Support program and company initiatives. Track and prepare reports for analysis and distribution on such activities.
  • Identify best practices and make recommendations to improve the employee/manager experience, including new hire assimilation, training, and performance management.
  • Drive change awareness by staying informed of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in government contracting.
  • Must work on site 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Must be a US citizen and possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think analytically.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work while meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR/SHRM-CP certification.
  • Experience with government contracting.
  • Experience with supporting OCONUS employees.
  • Working knowledge of WorkDay as the HRIS.

Pay

$80,000–$100,000 USD annually.
