Classroom Substitute

About the role

We are seeking a part-time Classroom Substitute to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom for up to 13 hours per week at our center in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Teach in a classical and Catholic classroom for up to 13 hours per week
• Prepare for classes at home and come to class prepared to teach in a highly structured environment
• Follow curriculum and grading guidelines provided by Regina Caeli Academy
• Provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards
• Have a deep love for the Catholic faith and be living the faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to your state in life

Requirements

• No teaching certification or formal teaching experience required
• Strong communication skills and good organization
• Timeliness and a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship
• Be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church
