Classroom Assistant Substitutes

Thacher Montessori School is seeking warm, dependable classroom assistant substitutes to join our collaborative Montessori community just outside Boston. We offer a joyful, child-centered environment where staff are valued partners in supporting independence, curiosity, and growth.

Responsibilities

• Supporting classroom activities
• Preparing materials
• Assisting with student focus and conflict resolution
• Helping maintain an organized learning environment

Requirements

• Enjoy working with children and respect their independence
• Bring a caring, professional presence and willingness to learn
• Communicate well and work effectively as part of a team
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree and/or Montessori experience (preferred)

Pay

$20 per hour – $24 per hour (based on education and experience)

Schedule

• Part-time with possibility of full-time
• Hours range from 2 hours (e.g., to cover lunch) to all day
• Minimum of three hours paid per shift
• Follows the school-year calendar
