Job Responsibilities
- Provide AV support for classrooms, conference rooms, and event spaces to ensure reliable operation of teaching and presentation technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve AV, web conferencing, and classroom technology issues in real time with a customer-focused approach.
- Support setup, execution, and breakdown of hybrid, in-person, and virtual events, including conferences, educational programs, and testing.
- Perform routine system checks, preventative maintenance, repairs, and inventory management for AV equipment.
- Provide user training and guidance on instructional and collaborative technologies while partnering with IT and ESS staff to enhance teaching and learning environments.
Required Qualifications
- Ace's degree and 2+ years of experience in audiovisual technology, instructional technology, IT, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of audio visual technologies, including projection systems, cameras, microphones, audio processing and mixing equipment, sound reinforcement, lighting, and presentation technologies.
- Experience supporting web conferencing and collaboration platforms such as Zoom, Webex, Microsoft Teams, or similar technologies.
- Experience supporting lecture capture and educational technology platforms, such as Panopto or comparable systems.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and provide confident, customer-focused support.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other standard business software applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in higher education A/V support.
