Event Support Specialist (Contract)
About the role
The Event Support Specialist plays a key role in executing event registration support for large-scale corporate events. Responsibilities include responding to attendee inquiries via email and phone, processing registration requests, and managing hotel reservations. This role requires exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate event technology platforms.
Responsibilities
- Manage attendee support emails
- Process ticket cancellations, transfers, and registration requests
- Update hotel reservations
- Provide clear, professional communication with attendees, clients, and vendors
- Assist attendees with registration processes, including ticket purchasing, transfers, and hotel bookings
- Serve as a liaison between attendees and event management, specifically regarding platform issues
- Support event managers in training new team members
- Complete tasks as assigned by event project managers
- Ensure all proprietary information remains confidential
- Travel onsite to provide attendee support as needed (required Nov. 28–Dec. 5)
- Aid in tracking accessibility requests, meal preferences, and other attendee needs
Requirements
Essential Responsibilities include assisting with registration processes, responding to inquiries, managing hotel bookings, and providing clear, professional communication. This role requires previous experience in events, group meetings, and/or hospitality, excellent written communication skills, strong customer service and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to quickly learn and navigate event technology platforms.

What You Can Expect In Return

How We'll Take Care Of You
The starting compensation for this role is between $25.00/hour and $30.00/hour. Our ranges are based on third-party national average market compensation analysis. The actual salary is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Physical Requirements
Individuals will be required to sit for the majority of the day and may be required to stand as needed.
