This role involves processing low-level general liability/product liability claims, ensuring ongoing adjudication within company standards and industry best practices, and identifying and negotiating subrogation of claims.
Responsibilities
- Processes lower level product liability claims by gathering information to determine liability exposure
- Assigns reserve values to claims and determines risk transfer (tender opportunities)
- Settles claims up to designated authority level
- Makes claim payments as necessary
- Develops and coordinates lower value product liability claims
- Prepares action plans pursuant to the claim or client contract
- Negotiates settlements within designated settlement authority
- Administers subrogation of claims
- Communicates claim actions with claimants and clients
- Ensures claim files are timely handled, properly documented, and claims coding is correct
- Maintains professional client relationships
- Supports the organization's quality program(s)
- Travels as required
Qualifications
- Education & Licensing: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
- Experience: Two (2) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience or successful completion of Claims Representative training required.

Pay
The starting pay range for this role is $55,000 - $75,000.
