Claims Representative - General & Product Liability | Multi State Jurisdiction | Licensing: Reciprocal preferred

This role involves processing low-level general liability/product liability claims, ensuring ongoing adjudication within company standards and industry best practices, and identifying and negotiating subrogation of claims.

Responsibilities

• Processes lower level product liability claims by gathering information to determine liability exposure
• Assigns reserve values to claims and determines risk transfer (tender opportunities)
• Settles claims up to designated authority level
• Makes claim payments as necessary
• Develops and coordinates lower value product liability claims
• Prepares action plans pursuant to the claim or client contract
• Negotiates settlements within designated settlement authority
• Administers subrogation of claims
• Communicates claim actions with claimants and clients
• Ensures claim files are timely handled, properly documented, and claims coding is correct
• Maintains professional client relationships
• Supports the organization's quality program(s)
• Travels as required

Qualifications

• Education & Licensing: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• Experience: Two (2) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience or successful completion of Claims Representative training required.
• Jurisdiction Knowledge: All states
• Licensing: Reciprocal Preferred

Pay

The starting pay range for this role is $55,000 - $75,000.
