About the Opportunity:The GENERAL LIABILITY CLAIM REPRESENTATIVE is responsible for managing complex and litigated general liability and property claims. This role involves investigating claims, negotiating settlements, maintaining accurate reserves and payments, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. The position ensures efficient claims resolution and protection of client interests throughout the claim lifecycle. Responsibilities:Negotiate and settle large commercial general liability and property claimsPrepare written status updates and large loss reports for clientsInterpret routine and complex insurance policy contracts and coverageOrganize and prioritize tasks to meet critical deadlinesAttend mediations and settlement conferences as neededDirect and oversee defense counsel in litigated claimsProvide financial authority and strategy guidance to counselMaintain current knowledge of relevant case law and regulationsEvaluate, investigate, and resolve claims effectivelyDemonstrate analytical skillsPerform other duties as assigned Requirements:5 to 7 years of experience handling commercial general liability claimsValid Adjusters License required; NY license preferred or willingness to obtain additional licensesProactive, independent, dependable with consistent follow-throughExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong time management and ability to meet deadlinesAbility to multitask, prioritize, and maintain organization in a dynamic environmentTeam player with interpersonal skillsHigh attention to detail and sound decision-making skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionDiscretion with sensitive and confidential informationComfortable interacting with key personnel at various levels Pay Range and Compensation Package:$90,000 to $110,000 per year Benefits & Perks:Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans401(k) plan with employer matchingPaid time off including discretionary time off and paid holidaysLife insurance and short-term and long-term disability coverage Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
