The Cincinnati Insurance Companies is seeking a Field Claims Representative to service the territory surrounding Jefferson City, MO. Candidates must reside within the territory.

About the role

Investigate and evaluate multi-line insurance claims through personal contact to ensure accurate settlements. Responsibilities include:

  • Completing thorough claim investigations
  • Interviewing insureds, claimants, and witnesses
  • Consulting police and hospital records
  • Evaluating claim facts and policy coverage
  • Inspecting property and auto damages and writing repair estimates
  • Preparing reports of findings and securing settlements with insureds and claimants
  • Using claims-handling software, company car, and mobile applications to adjust loss in a paperless environment
  • Providing superior and professional customer service
  • Becoming a certified and active Arbitration Panelist once eligible

Entry Level Claims Representative

Pay

$57,000 - $76,000 annually, based on education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives.

Requirements

  • Be available and communicative during regular business hours
  • Desire to learn about the insurance industry and provide excellent customer experience
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Preparedness to follow up with others in a timely manner
  • Valid driver’s license

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • AINS, AIC, or CPCU designations preferred

Experienced Claims Representative

Pay

$62,000 - $90,000 annually, based on education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives.

Requirements

  • Be available and communicative during regular business hours
  • Multi-line claims experience preferred
  • Ability to completely assess auto, property, and bodily injury type damages
  • Capacity to work unsupervised
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Preparedness to follow up with others in a timely manner
  • Valid driver’s license

Qualifications

  • One or more years of claims handling experience
  • AINS, AIC, or CPCU designations preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
