Claims - Field Claims Representative
The Cincinnati Insurance Companies is seeking a Field Claims Representative to service the territory surrounding Jefferson City, MO. Candidates must reside within the territory.
About the role
Investigate and evaluate multi-line insurance claims through personal contact to ensure accurate settlements. Responsibilities include:
- Completing thorough claim investigations
- Interviewing insureds, claimants, and witnesses
- Consulting police and hospital records
- Evaluating claim facts and policy coverage
- Inspecting property and auto damages and writing repair estimates
- Preparing reports of findings and securing settlements with insureds and claimants
- Using claims-handling software, company car, and mobile applications to adjust loss in a paperless environment
- Providing superior and professional customer service
- Becoming a certified and active Arbitration Panelist once eligible
Entry Level Claims Representative
Pay
$57,000 - $76,000 annually, based on education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives.

- Be available and communicative during regular business hours
- Desire to learn about the insurance industry and provide excellent customer experience
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Preparedness to follow up with others in a timely manner
- Valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- AINS, AIC, or CPCU designations preferred
Experienced Claims Representative
Pay
$62,000 - $90,000 annually, based on education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives.
Requirements
- Be available and communicative during regular business hours
- Multi-line claims experience preferred
- Ability to completely assess auto, property, and bodily injury type damages
- Capacity to work unsupervised
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Preparedness to follow up with others in a timely manner
- Valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- One or more years of claims handling experience
- AINS, AIC, or CPCU designations preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
