Claims Coordinator

Position Overview

The coordinator is responsible for speaking with customers, managing claims, following up on tasks, and ensuring timely completion of insurance Service Level Agreement tasks.

Job Responsibilities

  • Understand the claims flow process – Water Mitigation, Reconstruction, Contents, and other Environmental work
  • Manages data entry for each claim from First Notice of Loss through to completion of job in the CRM system
  • Daily review of compliance tasks and all job tasks are completed on time
  • Maintain and update jobs in required operating system to ensure efficient claims process
  • Create and/or assist with job estimates, ensuring completeness per company standards
  • Handle customer service issues and complaints, documenting actions and resolutions
  • Ensure constant communication with customers, adjusting to the needs of the insurance and mortgage teams
  • Manage client care calls, maintaining daily notes and escalating issues as necessary

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • IICRC Certifications preferred but not required: WTR, ASD, OCT, STC
  • Exceptional Customer Service skills
  • Experience with Microsoft© Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Strong personal time management and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Dependable and adaptable to operate within a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficient at using Microsoft Office, Outlook, CRM software
  • Experience with customer interaction and conflict resolution
  • On-call phone services (by rotation)

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Must be prepared to move up to 20 pounds occasionally
  • Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment
  • Fingering and repetitive motions while typing
  • Close visual acuity for detailed activities
  • Exposure to various inside working conditions
