About the role

A Civil Trial Attorney - Medical Malpractice/Nursing Home Negligence position is available in our Florence office. Ideal candidates will have at least three (3) years of experience in this field.

Responsibilities

• Defend doctors, hospitals, long-term care facilities, dentists, and other health professionals in civil trials involving medical malpractice and nursing home negligence
• Advise clients on legal strategies and potential outcomes
• Prepare and present evidence in court
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop comprehensive defense strategies
• Manage caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct

Requirements

• At least three (3) years of experience practicing in medical malpractice and nursing home negligence cases
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
• Passion for defending healthcare professionals and organizations

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice law in South Carolina and/or Georgia
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Member in good standing of the South Carolina and/or Georgia bar associations

• Excellent research and writing skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
