About the role

A Civil Trial Attorney - Medical Malpractice/Nursing Home Negligence position is available in our Myrtle Beach office. Ideal candidates will have at least three (3) years of experience in this field.

Responsibilities

• Defend doctors, hospitals, long-term care facilities, dentists, and other health professionals in civil trial cases involving medical malpractice and nursing home negligence.
• Advise clients on legal strategies and potential outcomes in complex litigation.
• Prepare and present evidence in court, including depositions and hearings.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop comprehensive defense strategies.
• Manage caseloads effectively and meet deadlines.

Requirements

• At least three (3) years of experience practicing in medical malpractice and nursing home negligence cases.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Adaptability to changing case priorities and schedules.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Member in good standing of the South Carolina Bar.
• Pass the bar exam if not a member of the South Carolina Bar.

Skills

• Strong litigation skills.
• Effective negotiation and mediation abilities.
• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Experience with medical records and expert witness testimony.
