Civil Project Engineer (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Project Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus in one or more of the following areas: Water/Wastewater Infrastructure, Land Development, or Municipal Services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects in water/wastewater, land development, or municipal sectors.
• Cook with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies to ensure project compliance and client satisfaction.
• Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
• Oversee and mentor junior engineers, designers, and CAD technicians throughout project phases.
• Conduct site visits, evaluations, and inspections as needed during design and construction.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Support proposal preparation, project budgeting, and business development efforts.
• Stay current with relevant codes, standards, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of civil engineering experience.
• Proven experience in one or more of the following areas: Water and wastewater systems, Land development, Municipal engineering (streets, drainage, utilities, capital improvement projects, etc).
• Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar).
• Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

This position offers a salary range of $65,000–$90,000 per year, along with comprehensive health benefits, PTO, and holiday pay. The listed salary range reflects the potential compensation for this role. Starting pay will be based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
