About the role
We are looking for an experienced and driven Civil Project Manager with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to lead and manage complex civil engineering projects within the Water/Wastewater, Land Development, or Municipal Services sectors. This is a strategic role for a well-rounded engineer who thrives in a leadership position, has a strong technical background, and excels in client and team management.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple civil engineering projects simultaneously, from planning and design to permitting and construction oversight.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and public agencies, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and scopes to ensure delivery on time and within budget.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, including junior engineers, CAD designers, subconsultants, and construction personnel.
- Review and approve engineering plans, specifications, reports, and other technical documentation.
- Support business development activities, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and pursuit strategy.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide mentorship and professional development to junior staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Monitor and manage project risks, conflicts, and resource allocation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in civil engineering with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Proven project management experience in one or more of the following sectors: Water and wastewater infrastructure, Land development (residential, commercial, or industrial), Municipal engineering (roadways, drainage, utility systems, etc.).
- Proficiency with design and project management tools (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and grow accounts.
- Experience with permitting, agency coordination, and public presentations.
Pay
This position offers a salary range of $75,000–$110,000 per year, along with comprehensive health benefits, PTO, and holiday pay. The listed salary range reflects the potential compensation for this role. Starting pay will be based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
