Civil Engineering - Senior Project Manager (Solid Waste)
About the role
You’ll manage project teams to complete engineering tasks such as airspace and earthwork volume calculations, prepare and review technical reports, design stormwater management systems, leachate collection systems, and landfill gas collection systems, perform geotechnical analyses, as well as prepare landfill grading plans and project details and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Develop proposals and project budgets and schedules
- Manage the engineering staff
- Perform quality control
- Interact with clients, contractors, and local/state government officials
- Partner with management teams to mentor and assist in the professional development of the staff
- Customize individual career paths through professional development and mentoring activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- 10+ years of experience
- Professional Engineering License (P.E.), with registration in PA or ability to obtain
- Expert in technical software and Civil Engineering technology, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software, and geotechnical modeling software
- Established clients/contacts in the Solid Waste client sectors
- Experience in scope of service and budget (proposal) development
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
- Participation in both client- and professional development-based organizations
- Excellent communication skills (speaking and writing)
- Ability to coordinate the regulatory agency review process

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
